Volcanoes and Diamonds

Yesterday I heard a speaker who said, "Pressure makes volcanoes, but it also makes diamonds."

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I fit in the volcano category a lot.

But she also made the point that without the challenges and trials we go through, come so many blessings of becoming.
Meaning--the hard things in life often shape our greatest qualities.
We are who we are because of what we face.

People who never face the hard things you face will never have the wisdom and the blessings of experience that you have.

Which doesn't often help much when all you can feel is the pain of now.

It's hard and it hurts.
But maybe, just maybe...

hey, I'm not sure what happened, but your blog is showing up weird on my computer. I can't read any of your older posts than this one and the side stuff doesn't show up. Dunno if it's me, my computer, or something on your end. I just thought I'd let you know...

Sometimes I question...... really, what's wrong with being a piece of carbon???? Do I really care to be a diamond?

Thanks for another beautiful post, Angela. I love learning more and more about how your mind and heart work.

And FYI, your blog is showing up weird on my computer, too.

Serendipity

The Oxford English dictionary describes serendipity as "the faculty of making happy and unexpected discoveries by accident. Also, the fact or an instance of such a discovery."
