The Staircase

For those of you who don't know, BYU is often lacking in...ahem...pleasing architectural design. And by pleasing, I mean that its 70s style buildings and brick walls just don't really add to the feng shui of this educational institution.

In my humble opinion.

But this stairway?

Brilliantly beautiful. Sleek. Modern. Yet welcoming and warm.

In fact, we can add this stairway to one of the reasons I am a humanities major.

Is that the new Smith building? That looks nice.

Joey! You still hold the place as my favorite cousin-in-law :o)

It surely is the new Joseph F. Smith Building. It's funny though, I don't think of it as new because it has been there since I was a freshman.

Serendipity

The Oxford English dictionary describes serendipity as "the faculty of making happy and unexpected discoveries by accident. Also, the fact or an instance of such a discovery."
